Brand Colours

The primary colour magenta was chosen for its bold and vibrant nature, which reflects the energy and excitement of the music played on the radio station. The secondary colours of purple, light blue, yellow, and orange were selected to complement magenta and represent the diversity of the target audience. The use of two colour gradients adds depth and visual interest to the brand, while maintaining consistency and recognizability.

Multicolour Gradient

The multicolour gradient is built on a base of Magenta. Each colour is then added as elliptical/radial gradients, starting from the secondary colour at the centre to a 100% transparent magenta at the edge of the circle.

Its primary use is for 99's branding and internal use. Use with client brands or sponsored branding should be avoided or limited.

When overlapping the circles, make sure you don't see any hard edges, adjust the size of your gradient if you see any.

Each secondary colour has to be present.
Never use complementary colours.

Two Tone Gradient

The two tone gradient is built up of the primary colour and any one secondary colour.

The gradient has to follow the following rules:
- Primary is always in the bottom left.
- Secondary is always in the top right.
- It should primarily be used as linear gradient.
- Each show has their own gradient. If the design is for a specific show, use their gradient.

For co-branding, a gradient can be made up of a combination of 99's colours and the other brands, or a gradient made of the other brands colours.

Gradients are allowed to be made of non brand colours in specific occasions, such as events or promotional artwork. See below for design examples.

Speech Bubble Frame

The frame is always used in the top left and bottom right of designs.

The ends of the lines can be stretched to better align with or frame content inside of it.

Combined with cut out photos or elements, the line can weave in front and behind items.

Text should never overlap the lines.

When placing 99's logo, do not use the bubble logo.
While it's not a must, the preferred position for the logo is in the rounded corners. (See design examples)

Typography

Using Montserrat, feel free to be creative with mixing and matching different weights of the font and italics to build emphasis.

You can also outline the font to add variation to your text.

Use of the secondary font is very limited, use it sparingly.
