Brand Persons

The Future Media brand reaches far and wide into many forms of media and speaks to people of a wide variety of backgrounds, as such the brand needs to be able to adapt and change to fit different use cases. From the boardroom to a billboard, we need to show that we're serious, but we can also be creative. Thats why we have to personas, Corporate and Creative. Make sure you choose the correct voice when you're creating.

Corporate Persona

Our corporate persona is the more restrictive of the two, so be selective when you design. Here we want to focus more on the data and information than we want to focus on the design. Its professional, clean and minimal. Say more with less.

Creative Persona

Our creative side shines out, we work in highly creative fields and we need to be able to show that we have that we're able to bring that creativity to the table. Here we have more colours, more layouts and more fun.

We can use elements from Corporate in Creative, but not vice versa.

Corporate Persona

For our more corporate and business messaging we stick to our core colours, Navy, Maroon and Grey. Use these for those corporate number discussions, and company profiles.

Creative Persona

For outward messaging where we talk about our other brands and show all the fun and exciting things we do, we can mix in some more elements and fun, we can get more creative.

Layout Systems

When it comes to layouts we have couple of choices. For the corporate side we stick to the bento system, it's clean, minimal and quick to iterate on. For Creative we have a couple of choices, we can pull in the bento boxes and our carved cut. This makes use of elements built out of negative space circles.

Bento Box

For the majority of layout work we make use of the bento box system. It's the design language for most modern and future facing brands. Its major upsides are its ability to compact and display large volumes of information in more consumable portions.

It tends to be better for print and has become a de facto design language of many AI systems, so it integrates easier.

When we do more corporate designs we stick within the box, but when we get creative, don't be afraid to think outside the box. Colour outside the lines and make your elements pop.

These boxes can be used as outlines, solid colours, gradients and images, whatever fits the design requirements.

Curves & Cuts

This is the more loose and creative system, it makes use of circles to build up elements or to create with cut out circles used to frame content. Making use of the circle from our logo to have a pull through element.

It's been a mainstay of the brand, but musty be used selectively.

Its use should always be clean and not overwhelming, its easy to

Design Elements

Wave one main design element, the triangle. It can be seen in the top left and bottom right of all socials posts, and acts as a container for the shorthand logo when used correctly.

It can also be seen as cut out on some container boxes and frames to tie floating elements back to the rest of the design.

The cuts and corners are inspired by the cuts in Wave's logo and is a rework of the previous diagonal cuts on previous iterations of the look and feel.

In non-brand or partnered designs, we can also use a single triangle or place them in the top right and bottom left. The position can be flexible.

Show Logos

Our show logos uses the same system our main logo uses:
- Gotham Ultra
- Around -50 Tracking
- Slightly Rounded corners on select corners
- A curve cutting through edge letters
- Underlined with the presenter names

This ties our shows back to the brand without having to outrightly say they are on Wave. this lets us use the shorthand without having to say more.

Themed Logo

Radiowave has a history of theming our logo, from our smiley face being dressed as a pumpkin or BB-8 to our dot in the shape of a pot of gold, we have always had fun with what we can do.

Our new logo is no different, we just take it a bit differently.

This is a fun thing we do for ourselves, this is never sold as an add-on or advertising space.  But it can be used as a tie in with competitions.

Where to use:
- Holidays & Observation days
- Competitions
